Drywall has been installed!  Last week at the Unger’s Project, the drywall was installed.  At Mt. Tabor Builders, Inc. once the drywall is hung, they turn on the HVAC and allow the house to acclimate for at least a week before finishing the drywall.  This allows the for the framing and the drywall to “dry out”.  Drywall is typically stored in an unconditioned wear house, then brought into an unconditioned building, allowing it to draw-up moisture.  Allowing the house to acclimate for a week before the drywall is finished helps to minimize issues with the drywall later on.  The last thing you want in your new home is a drywall crack!  Having a builder that is willing to take their time during this part of the building process is noteworthy.  Check out Mt.
