I have drawn many homes over the years. The following are a few examples of my work.
I’ve designed traditional American homes; log homes; timber frame homes; executive homes; and many more. I keep up on the latest home design trends and bring many ideas to the table when meeting with potential clients.
I will keep updating this section, so please check in often to see some of my latest work!
This is a 2,300 sq. ft. rancher that was designed and built specifically for the picturesque setting that backs to the property in Smithsburg, MD. From the building lot, you can see across the farmland as it slopes up toward the mountain range in the distance. With this view in mind, we designed this house with large windows and patio doors across the back and used "natural" materials to tie it to its surroundings. The home’s open floor plan includes a large master suite on one end and two bedrooms separated by a” Jack & Jill Bathroom” on the opposite end. A large kitchen opens into the Great Room that runs the full depth of the house. The home has many custom features, but the feature most take notice of when entering are the exposed timbers that are the framework of this project. From the front porch through the great room and out onto the rear porch, this home has the look and feel of a timber-framed mountain home. The front porch is constructed entirely of white pine post and beam construction. A timber trellis over the dining room and three large timber trusses in the Great Room are perfect accents that keep the look and feel consistent inside and out. The rear porch is also built using white pine timber construction. The exterior is a combination of stone and vinyl shake siding. Each gable is outfitted with timber brackets, which pulls the finishes together. All the porches and patios are covered with a flagstone veneer. The final touch can be found on the garage doors, which are trimmed using white pine, and stained to match the gable brackets.
Here is a European style home I drew. It has a full (unfinished) basement, a two car garage, a modern style kitchen, separate laundry room, formal dining room, family room with a vaulted ceiling, large master suite, two spacious closets, (his & hers) and a very large master bath. Upstairs there are two large bedrooms with a shared full bath, and an unfinished bonus room over the garage. Click the images to see details.

The master bedroom is very large with a large master bathroom, including a whirlpool tub and a separate shower. This floor plan includes a large front porch, a second floor balcony, and lots of windows for natural light.
Here is a custom home I drew. It has a large kitchen, a dining room surrounded with windows, a family room with a fireplace and a vaulted ceiling, huge entrance way, a private office, large master suite with two walk-in closets, a master bath with a custom shower, a make-up station and a large soaker tub. Out back it has a covered porch and an outdoor fire place, with stairs going down to the covered patio below. The stairs beside the garage go up to a private work-out room with its own full bath over the garage. This house also has a full basement with a large family room, a fireplace, three bedrooms each with walk-in-closets, and two full bathrooms. All this walks out to a large covered patio in the rear.
On the first floor this home boasts a grand entrance way with an open staircase. To the right you have a formal dining room, a very open custom kitchen, breakfast nook and a sunken family room. There is a private home office with a large twin window looking out over the back yard. Also you have a two-car garage that is deep enough to park a large truck or SUV and a few of your kids toys, Upstairs there are three bedrooms, a half bath, and a laundry. Also there is a very large master suite with a walk-in closet and a very spacious master bath. The master bath includes a 4' shower with a seat, and a jetted tub. There is a 6' vanity with a sink for both of you.
This is a bathroom rehab I have been working on. This bathroom design has a custom tile shower with a glass wall on the bathroom side, two separate vanities, a private water closet, and a walk-in closet that is open to the bathroom. This bathroom design has a vaulted ceiling with two skylights (seen on separate pages). In the state of Maryland you need a permit to do any remodel work in your home that involves electric and/or plumbing; so you are required to have a layout to pull permits.
